I know it hasn’t been long since Douglas and I last visited Tempura, but I was really aching to come back because I truly missed their Ebi Chizu Tempura (pictured above).

The ambiance is the same as before—very casual. I like Japanese Restaurants with casual or modern interiors, because it’s less intimidating.

Douglas recommended this Seafood Curry Ramen (P270). We split it in half, although I think it’s only good for one hungry person. The soup was positively enticing, I don’t think you need to be a curry fan to still appreciate it. However, the noodles were not as chewy as we had hoped. The seafood ingredients (salmon, scallops, etc.) and the bits of pork were not as fresh as Ramen Bar’s, either. But I still liked it overall, for its aroma and soup taste.
I think the Curry Gomoku Yakisoba from our last visit was better.

We ordered this Fire Cracker Roll (P180) primarily because we wanted to try a new maki. It was literally a rice ball cooked in tempura batter, and then topped with various ingredients. It was tasty—not that spicy, just sweet and spicy to a balanced degree, but I was looking for the tuna. The description said it was supposed to have spicy tuna inside, which I didn’t quite find in my roll.
The roll is big, so it’s VERY heavy. Take it easy on this one.

The Ebi Chizu Tempura (P300/5pcs) was the reason we went back here in the first place. Well, I was quite delighted with it. I’m really a fan of the cheddary taste in every bite. It’s not that overpowering, though, so you still get the full flavor from the tempura sauce and the prawn.
Overall Verdict: It was okay, this time around. Not the most memorable stay, but satisfying, still. Tempura Japanese Grill Level 2, Trinoma Mall, EDSA corner North Avenue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With and For Love, Visit: Yummy Date Night on Facebook!
