Cibo is an institution when it comes to Italian dining in the Metro. It has sustained its quality over the past twelve years, and has also become a reliable, familiar choice for most people.
They offer comforting food that comes in your choice of family or individual servings. This, in my opinion, is an advantage when it comes to eating Italian food. From what I’ve noticed, Italian restaurants usually serve their food in large portions, which is normally too big for a small group.

The Spaghettini Alla Russa (P318/560) was a bit surprising. The light, white sauce had a hint of sourness due to the lemon, but it went really well with the al dente pasta.
Douglas said he would have preferred it more if they had served the smoked salmon hotter.

I would go back to Cibo everyday to have their Rigatoni All’Alfonso (P325/573). The mixture of stewed tomato, cream and chili peppers really stood out to make this a winner. The baby shrimps used were just right to add some meatiness to the dish without attracting too much attention.

The Pesca (Peach Syrup) Iced Tea (P98) made Douglas happy. He said the taste was well-balanced.

The Cocomero (Watermelon) Shake (P108) was pleasantly sweet without being too overwhelming.

We were a bit disappointed with the Funghi Trifolati (P343), because it was a bit bland. The crust was well-made, though, thin and yet chewy.
The serving was just right for two people.
The Verdict: If you’re hankering for good Italian food, Cibo is a good choice, although you have to be ready with a budget because the food is a bit pricey. The setting can also get a bit uncomfortable because of the metal chairs.
