Mini-Date: Banapple

I would only call this a mini-feature because we didn’t get to eat much. We weren’t really having the best day, but we wanted to brighten it up by eating good food. We came from Ateneo, so we just wanted some place close by—and what’s the best restaurant near us? Banapple of course!

Banapple Smoothie P90

I love shakes and smoothies, and this one is pretty okay. Not the best I’ve ever tasted, but I loved how the apple neutralized the sweet banana taste, giving the drink a nice balance.

This is the most unique lasagna I’ve seen so far, because lasagna is normally served layered on a dish, like how we always enjoy it. This one has Parmesan cheese and herbed cream rolled inside a thick layer of lasagna, such that when you sink your fork into the pasta, a generous filling of cheese and cream comes oozing out of it. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? Well, it simply is.

I would warn you though, the cream and cheese combination inside might get pretty sour for some people’s tastes. But it’s still worth every single bite. :)

The bread that came with the lasagna roll-up had nice, crunchy crusts, but they also had soft, chewy centers. Hints of pesto and butter added to their flavor.

The Verdict: I’ve been in love with Banapple since my first time going there. This restaurant is a place you MUST try. I can’t say the ambiance is appropriate for a romantic date, because it’s cramped inside due to the lack of space and the multitude of people visiting, but the food’s really worth it. Whatever bad day you’re having is going to turn into funny rainbows the moment you taste their food. Expect another feature of Banapple someday, hopefully a full feature.
